Join with storytellers from across Southern California for an all-day celebration of storytelling hosted by Storytellers of San Diego and Black Storytellers of San Diego.

The day's events begin with the annual SAC (Storytelling Association of California) annual meeting at 9:00am (optional to participate)
On-site registration begins at 10:00 followed by the SAC Regional Gem Concert featuring John St. Clair at 10:30.
11:30 is the Festival "kick-off" with the "Small Group Story Swap," followed by all the traditional events: workshops, lunch, "Got a Minute Stories," and the closing concert with representatives of each SoCal storytelling group. $25 includes lunch,

Goals:
- To increase awareness of and appreciation for storytelling as an art form in a variety of settings: entertainment venues, educational institutions, health care facilities, community organizations, non-profit organizations and for profit businesses.
- To provide opportunities for participation in storytelling for all children and adults, from beginners to professionals, through classes, workshops, story swaps, concerts and storytelling festivals.
- To
encourage the
use of
storytelling
to bring
together
diverse
populations in
the community
and promote
cross-cultural
understanding.
- To serve as a source of information on the art of storytelling and storytelling events in the San Diego area.
